CONDITIONS OF HIRE
For the purpose of
these conditions, the term HIRER means an individual hirer or, where the hirer
is an organisation, the authorised representative.
1.
Supervision
The hirer will be responsible for supervision of the premises, the contents and fabric of the building and car parking arrangements so as to avoid obstruction of the highway.
2.
Licences
The hirer will be responsible for obtaining any licence that may be needed for the sale or supply of intoxicating liquor etc.
3.
Public Safety
Compliance
The hall is licensed to accommodate up to 200 people.
The hirer will comply with all conditions and regulations made in respect of the premises by the Fire Authority, Local Authority, the Local Magistrates’ Court .
4.
Health and Hygiene
The hirer will, if preparing, serving or selling food, observe all the relevant food health and hygiene legislations and regulations.
5.
Electrical
Appliance Safety
The hirer will ensure that any electrical appliances brought by him to the premises and used there are safe and in good working order and used in a safe manner.
6.
Indemnity
The hirer will indemnify the committee for the cost of repair of any damage done to any part of the property or contents.
The hirer will be responsible for making arrangements to insure against third party claims which may lie against him whilst using the Hall.
7.
Accidents and
Dangerous Occurrences
The hirer must report all accidents involving injury to the public to a member of the Committee as soon as possible. Failure of equipment must also be reported as soon as possible.
8.
Animals
The hirer will ensure that no animals or birds (except guide dogs) are brought into the hall, other than for a special event agreed to by the Committee. No animals are to enter the kitchen at any time.
9.
Compliance With The
Children Act
The hirer will ensure that any activities for children under eight years of age comply with The Children Act of 1989 and that only fit and proper persons have access to the children.
10. Sale of Goods
The hirer will, if selling goods on the premises, comply with the Fair Trading Laws and any code of practice used in connection with such sale.
11. Electric Meters
The box housing the meters for the overhead heaters (bottom two meters) and lights and sockets (top meter) can be found on the left when entering the hall. The meter in the kitchen is for the cookers and water heater. All meters take £1 coins.
12. Stage and P A System
If required please contact the Hall Committee Representative in order that the relevant training can be arranged.
13. End of Hire
Please ensure that everyone leaves the hall quietly.
Tables and chairs must be cleaned and stacked as found. There is a trolley provided to transport the chairs.
Spills from the bar must be mopped and the hall left clean and tidy.
All rubbish must be removed. There is no refuse collection from the hall.
Ensure that the hall is properly locked and the key returned.
